NOTICE OF MEETING TO ADOPT 2024-25 BUDGET AND CONDUCT PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to RCW 28A.505.050 and RCW 28A.505.060, that the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of Lopez Island School District No. 144, San Juan County, Washington (the “District”) will hold a regular meeting on July 24, 2024, commencing at 6:00 PM in person and via Zoom, which will be hosted from 86 School Road, Lopez Island, Washington
(www.lopezislandschool.org for link). At the meeting, the Board shall fix and determine the
appropriation from each fund contained in the 2024-25 budget and shall, by resolution, adopt the 2024-25 budget, the four-year budget plan, and the four-year enrollment projection. The budget will be placed on file in the school district administration office and posted electronically to the district’s website www.lopezislandschool.org on July 10, 2024. A copy of the budget and a summary of the four-year budget plan will be furnished to any person who calls upon the district for it. Prior to the adoption of the 2024-25 budget, the Board will hold a hearing on July 24, 2024, commencing at 5:00 PM in person and via Zoom, which will be hosted from 86 School Road, Lopez Island, Washington (www.lopezislandschool.org for link) for the purpose of receiving comments from the
public on the 2024-25 budget. Any person may appear at the hearing and be heard for or against
any part of the 2024-25 budget, the four-year budget plan, or any proposed changes to the uses of LOPEZ ISLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 144 SAN JUAN COUNTY, WASHINGTON
enrichment funding under RCW 28A.505.240 (a/k/a EP&O Levy).
