Parental involvement drives academic success

Imagine you had the power to instantly boost not just your child’s chances of doing well in school, but also those of their classmates — would you use it?

For years, research has consistently pointed to one powerful factor that outweighs others like income level, student background, or even the type of school a child attends: parental involvement.

When schools and families work together to build strong, positive relationships, it has a major impact. Students with engaged parents tend to attend school more regularly, behave better, earn higher grades, show stronger social skills, and adjust more easily to the school environment.
